Egressive FOSS Terms and Conditions

In the interest of promoting open source business, we at Egressive have chosen to begin making our legal documentation available to other aspiring free and open source focused businesses to adapt and use.

These Terms and Conditions have evolved within Egressive over 10 years of active trading, and were produced by Egressive staff with professional legal advice. We believe they codify many of the crucial principles of free and open source software business, which appear to have no precedent in New Zealand law. As far as we know, this document is unique in New Zealand. Please review, improve, and use these Terms and Conditions. The more of us who use them, the more familiar kiwi businesses and lawyers will become with free and open source software thinking.

For the convenience of those interested in open standards compliant documents, this document is being made available in ODF (Open Document Format) Document Template (.ott) format which can be read and edited with a number of applications. We also make it available in the read only PDF format. We would prefer that this file not be distributed in any proprietary formats (e.g. MS Word DOC or DOCX) as we would consider that to be incompatible with sharing.

This document is being made available under the NZ Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike license - we suggest you read the terms so that you understand what freedoms we have granted you, which you in turn must grant to others should you choose to use these (yes, we also get a chuckle from specifying license terms for a terms and conditions document).

Egressive makes no warranties, real or implied, for the effectiveness of this document - you may use it only at your own risk.
